Have you ever tried to give your child the chance to express him/her self without interfering or wanting something? The aim of the holistic pedagogy is the growth of the human being towards the promotion of the well-being of the individual as well as the group and the community. The art media are ideal to develop a self-discovery and a sense of relation with the self and the others, the inner and other space. Adults often project in children their conditionings, fear and limitations and it is very important to become aware of it to avoid judgements that might create traumas. A safe environment, an encouraging approach and constructive method are essential to support children’s first steps towards the discovery of their own essential qualities as well as the others. Children are more connected with their original and raw source of creativity that wants to be expressed in its spontaneity.
For this reason in art activities is not enough providing the child all the materials and tools, another ingredient is essential: the freedom and respect to their imagination. During this creative path children have the space to experiment in a safe and supportive environment with the presence of an expert guide that perform an empathic listening. Adults actually learn from children the art of playfulness, innocence, vitality, curiosity and joy. In this sense actually they are our masters.

Hai mai provato a dare a tuo figlio la possibilità di esprimersi senza interferire o desiderare qualcosa? Lo scopo della pedagogia olistica è la crescita dell'essere umano verso la promozione del benessere individuale, del gruppo e della comunità. I mezzi artistici sono ideali per sviluppare la scoperta di sé, il senso di relazione con sé e con gli altri, con lo spazio interiore ed esteriore. Spesso gli adulti proiettano nei bambini i propri condizionamenti, paure e limitazioni ed è molto importante prenderne consapevolezza per evitare giudizi che potrebbero creare traumi. Un ambiente sicuro, un approccio incoraggiante e un metodo costruttivo sono essenziali per sostenere i primi passi dei bambini verso la scoperta delle qualità essenziali proprie e degli altri. I bambini sono più connessi con la loro fonte originaria e cruda di creatività che vuole esprimersi nella sua spontaneità.
Per questo nelle attività artistiche non basta fornire al bambino tutti i materiali e gli strumenti, è fondamentale un altro ingrediente: la libertà e il rispetto della propria fantasia. Durante questo percorso creativo i bambini hanno lo spazio per sperimentare in un ambiente sicuro e solidale con la presenza di una guida esperta che svolge un ascolto empatico. Gli adulti infatti imparano dai bambini l’arte della giocosità, dell’innocenza, della vitalità, della curiosità e della gioia. In questo senso effettivamente sono loro i nostri maestri.

I was initiated to this type of painting by my teacher Meera Hashimoto, a Japanese artist and art therapist. In a big size of paper children have the freedom to expand their creativity with colours, water, sponge, brushes. A big plastic covers the ground in order to give them the comfort to experiment and splash colours with no worries to make the space dirty. In this way, children connect with their original source of creativity, creating with spontaneity and playfulness their artistic discovery. Adults might me inspired by them.

Sono stata iniziata a questo tipo di pittura dalla mia maestra Meera Hashimoto, una artista e arte-terapeuta giapponese. In un foglio di carta di grande formato i bambini hanno la libertà di espandere la loro creatività con colori, acqua, spugna, pennelli. Un grande telo di plastica copre il pavimento per dare loro la comodità di sperimentare e schizzare colori senza preoccuparsi di sporcare lo spazio. In questo modo i bambini si collegano con la loro fonte originaria di creatività, realizzando con spontaneità e giocosità la loro scoperta artistica. Gli adulti potrebbero essere ispirati da loro.

A combination with Nature and Art. A small trekking to stimulate the body coordination, the interest towards green and the discovery of special locations. An ein-plein-air painting session to encourage the personal expression and the ability to communicate a story made of images. Abstract as well as figurative will cohabit in the paper. Plants, animals, and shapeless play of colours will leave a trace of the natural experience. Activity suitable to individual as well as groups of children.

Un connubio tra Natura e Arte. Un piccolo trekking per stimolare la coordinazione corporea, l'interesse verso il verde e la scoperta di luoghi speciali. Una sessione di pittura all'aria aperta per favorire l'espressione personale e la capacità di comunicare una storia fatta di immagini. L'astratto e il figurativo coabitano nella carta. Piante, animali e giochi di colori informi lasceranno traccia dell'esperienza naturale. Attività adatta sia a singoli che a gruppi di bambini.

The trend of modern society is to increase the use of technology for the production of objects, logistics, communication, education, actually for any sectors. As a result, the younger generation feels alienated by device abuse. Using our hands gives us the ability to be present in the here and now, releasing tensions and creating something unique. The rediscovery of arts&crafts traditions gives us the chance to open our minds to forgotten languages and cultures and at the same time to develop manual skill.

La tendenza della società moderna è quella di incrementare l'uso della tecnologia per la produzione di oggetti, la logistica, la comunicazione, l'istruzione, insomma per qualsiasi settore. Di conseguenza, le generazioni più giovani si sentono alienate dall'abuso dei dispositivi. Usare le mani ci dà la capacità di essere presenti nel qui e ora, sciogliendo le tensioni e creando qualcosa di unico. La riscoperta delle tradizioni artistiche e artigianali ci dà la possibilità di aprire la nostra mente a lingue e culture dimenticate e allo stesso tempo sviluppare l'abilità manuale.

In Art, children are the masters of adults. By observing them we can discover that our creativity has been limited by our education. Children are still in touch with the unconditioned source of creative energy. We learn from them the freedom to express ourselves. Through painting, movement, music and guided exercises, we will release the creative potential that is in us, removing emotional blocks that hinder our flow. Parents will learn to play and support their children in their expression, gaining a more relaxed and loving relationship with them. Children will feel welcomed and seen in their creativity and uniqueness.

Nell’Arte i bambini sono i maestri degli adulti. Osservandoli possiamo scoprire che la nostra creatività è stata limitata dalla nostra educazione. I bambini sono ancora in contatto con la fonte incondizionata dell'energia creativa. Impariamo da loro la libertà di esprimerci. Attraverso la pittura, il movimento, la musica e gli esercizi guidati, libereremo il potenziale creativo che è in noi, rimuovendo i blocchi emotivi che ostacolano il nostro fluire. I genitori impareranno a giocare e a sostenere i propri figli nella loro espressione, acquisendo con loro un rapporto più rilassato e amorevole. I bambini si sentiranno accolti e visti nella loro creatività e unicità.

Nowadays, the accessibility of information via Internet has made knowledge 'fast-food'. Children are not used to memorising and deepening knowledge because when they need to know something they Google it. Oil painting instead allows for an internalisation of culture. Layer after layer, the teens come into more and more contact with the masterpieces of art history. I also accompany this process with stories about the authors in order to provide them with a complete and indelible experience.

Oggigiorno l'accessibilità all’informazione tramite internet ha reso il sapere ‘fast-food’. I bambini non sono abituati a memorizzare e approfondire la conoscenza perché quando hanno bisogno di sapere qualcosa la trovano su “Google”. La pittura ad olio consente invece una interiorizzazione della cultura. Velatura dopo velatura i ragazzi entrano sempre più in contatto con i capolavori della storia dell’arte. Accompagno questo processo anche con racconti sugli autori in modo da fornire loro una esperienza completa ed indelebile.
