La pittura è antica quanto l’uomo. Lasciare traccia col corpo, segnare, dare forma, esprimere, evocare, immaginare, materializzare, fare riti propiziatori sono atti ancestrali. L’immagine è magica perché manifesta il mondo invisibile.
Qui un dettaglio della pittura ruprestre nella Grotta di Altamira in Spagna settentrionale che ho visitato con grande emozione. Il gesto che risale al Paleolitico è un gesto primordiale e Primal per eccellenza che arriva fino all’era contemporanea, espresso da tutte le culture del mondo e in tutte le età. (Sahaja)

Painting is as old as man. Leaving traces with the body, marking, giving shape, expressing, evoking, imagining, materializing, performing propitiatory rites are ancestral actions. The image is magic because it manifests what is invisible.
This is a detail of the painting in the Altamira Cave in northern Spain which I visited with great emotion. The gesture that dates back to the Paleolithic is primordial and the Primal gesture par excellence, that reaches up to the contemporary era, expressed by all cultures of the world and in all ages.
